ABOUT THE ART
I have used my practice as a means by which to explore and make sense of identity, interpersonal relations, and my lived environment. My recent practice has taken me into an exploration of memory and time, pulling from vintage children's illustrations. Many of my older works look more at the idea of identity, diaspora, and adoption; investigating my family's connection to North Africa's Jewish history. My academic and studio achievements include the Laura Sophia Wood Prize, which I received consecutively in 2019 and 2020, and publication as part of the J.E.A Crake Arts Critics at Large internship.
ABOUT MUSEOLOGY
In my work, volunteerism, and professional aspirations, I take an interest in the research and stewardship of material and literary collections alongside accessibility-minded public programming. Having working in schools, museums, and galleries since 2017, I see enrichment of the educational experience and inclusivity of these spaces as the foremost goal of my career. Permanent installation of my curatorial work can be found at Sgoolai Synagogue in Fredericton New Brunswick.
